In Memory of…

David Alan Curtis

January 26, 1951 – September 12, 2017

David Curtis is now in the presence of his Savior after leaving a legacy of loving his family, serving his church and sharing the gospel with many. He was loved dearly and must be enjoying himself immensely with Jesus.  Following is a testimony written by David.

“The Price of Love”

How can one show so much love without receiving love in return? How can one give so much to someone who in return receives so little?

Stop and look with your heart at just what He has given you. Everything. His “only son” was given, knowing of the agonizing death that would occur. All of this, just for me. What does He ask for in return? Only obedience; is this so much to ask?

How can one repay the gift of life? Not by cursing the One who gave it. Only through His loving grace for me. Am I allowed to curse him, deny His existence, and live in total ruin till the day of repentance? Then I say, “Father, forgive me, for I know not what I do,” and all is forgiven. How much love does He have to show me? How many blessings do I need till I know of the love He has for me? Is He not with me sharing my feelings when I’m happy and sad, in pain and glory, fulfilling my every need? Is not all I have to do is ask and it shall be given?

What He wants is not my perfection for He knows perfection died with His Son; but He wants my trust, love, and obedience. So little to ask, for so much.

What is the price of an eternity of Heavenly bliss?
